The most common mistakes on horse knights

Equestrian sports need a lot of time and patience to learn. There are many mistakes that the new knight may make because of lack of experience or rush. The following are the main errors and their correction:

Raise Arms High: It may seem automatically to the knight to raise his arms high, to balance his body on the horse. This makes him lose control of the horse in the event of any sudden movement. In order to avoid this mistake, the knight must balance his sitting position firmly and slightly tight and put the hands at the waist level.

Clinging To The Horse By Narrowing The Legs Around It: Horse riding depends on the balance more than clinging to the horse, which makes the knight muscles not tense and more mobile. The horse may understand tightening it up or down the legs as a sign of movement forward, as this clinging is tired to the knight. To avoid this, the knight has to relax his legs from the hips down to the feet, and throw the weight on the feet.

Standing On The Top Of The Toes: The knight may stand on the top of his fingers when lifting himself from the saddle during the jump, but this will make the knight burden on the horse because it will make him bounce on the saddle twice in a way that increases the weight on the horse, and the result is an imbalanced movement. The optimal body lift in this case is by making the feet under the body as if the knight is standing normally, bending the knees slightly. The knight must learn to use the trunk muscles to balance his body, not his feet.

Exaggerating The Introduction Of Feet In The Knees: The introduction of feet in the knees will greatly disturb the knight, preferably on the knees in the mid-foot point. Care should also be taken to ensure that the knees are in a suitable length, so that the ankle is not exceeding when fully relaxed.

Bending Back: It is difficult to control the horse and maintain balance if the body of the knight is bent and relaxed. The knight must sit upright without tension, keep his chin raised and look at the road in front of him. Exaggerating the shoulders back causes tension in the knight's body, so it is preferable to replace it by breathing deeply to expand the rib cage.

Raising The Knees: Many novice knights raise their knees when riding a horse, making them appear to be sitting on a chair. The knight must relax his legs from the hips down, keeping the straight line from the shoulders to the feet.

Self-Locking: The jockey may lock himself or forget to breathe because of the tension associated with learning new skills. But he must relax and regulate the rhythm of his breathing with the steps of the horse.

Look At The Horse: Many novice knights may look at the horse, distracting them from the road and making them unprepared for what they may face. In addition, when the knight knocks his neck and head, this affects the integrity of his spine, making his pregnancy more difficult for the horse.

Strongly Tough: Strongly tensed without cause is sometimes annoying and painful to the horse. Repeating it may make the horse ignore the tightness of the head or turn its head back to avoid pressure or pain. The knight must learn to give a signal to the horse without pulling the unleash, by pushing the lever down rather than pushing it upwards.
