Patience: The horse needs a period of time to feel connected to you, so be patient and do not lose hope if you need the process for weeks. Leave the horse to adjust to his leisure, spend time with him eating, or sit beside him during the break.
Leadership: The strength of the link between you and your horse depends mainly on spending time with it, no matter what type of activity you are doing, and clearly feel that you are the leader in the relationship. Your horse may be in different positions and you are holding the handle. Walk in front of him, but keep a distance between you, the horse must learn to respect and not to exceed. Reward the horse but be careful: Rewarding the horse by giving him some foods, such as carrots, raisins or sugar cubes, strengthens the link between you and him and feels happy. But reward him moderately so as not to make him greedy and evil. Be careful if the horse starts trying to bite your hands or touch it with your mouth to ask for it.
